Winterfest is an excellent time for your family to enjoy all the fun of a small town winter. This year, Winterfest takes place from January 17-26. The first weekend will be held in Chelan, while the second will be in Manson. Friday through Sunday of these weekends are when events like the fireworks show and live ice carving will occur. Your Winterfest Button will get you through both weeks! Friday January 17, bring your kids downtown for the Find Tsilly Adventure (similar to Where’s Waldo)! Find Tsilly will take place all day and throughout both weekends. Other exciting family festivities start at 3pm! These exciting activities include magical horse carriage rides and a variety of kids activities put on by the Historic Downtown Chelan Association. Following those is the staple Ice Slide experience and rock’n Cosmic Bowling at Chelan Lanes (518 West Manson Hwy, Chelan). On Saturday, enjoy many of the same activities such as Find Tsilly and the Ice Slide. Other fun events happening on Saturday include, the jaw-dropping Ice Carving Competition, Grand Wine Walk (families welcome), and the legendary Polar Bear Splash! The Polar Bear Splash will be followed by a large beach bonfire and spectacular fireworks show!
On Sunday January 19, enjoy the many tastes of the Cocoa Crawl or relax with some Snowga (snow yoga) at Echo Ridge. Friday January 25, the day is full with live Ice Carving, one of a kind Apple Bin Train Rides, and more. On Saturday, enjoy watching the Snowmobile Drag Racing, Ice Tower Carving and participate in the lighting of Wish Papers. Sunday will also include the adventurous Mystery Mitten walk, unbelievable Family Magic Shows, live music and still more!
