  1. Go on a scenic hike

    Hiking is one of the best ways to expose your children to nature and bond with the family. In Lake Chelan, there are plenty of kid-friendly hiking trails that circle around the magnificent, glacier-fed lake and offer spectacular mountain views.

    In the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, you’ll see several hiking trails such as the Echo Ridge Trail System and the Lakeshore Trail. The 26-mile Echo Ridge Trail System offers easygoing trails while the 17-mile Lakeshore Trail is perfect for families looking for a more challenging hike.

Known as Washington’s oldest theater, the Historic Ruby Theatre has been operating since 1914 and continuously shows newly-released films. Your family will also enjoy a visit to the Historic Old Stehekin Schoolhouse, a one-room school that is registered as a historic landmark.
